Short bio:

Dr. Ramon L. Rodriguez received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in San Juan, PR, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Rodriguez completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After this, he completed his residency in Neurology at the same institution under the mentorship of Dr. John Calverley.

For more than a decade, Dr. Rodriguez has followed his passion of caring for patients with complex movement disorders and cognitive disorders. Besides PD, Dr. Rodriguez also cares for patients with “Parkinson’s plus syndromes”, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. He has performed over 10,000 botulinum toxin procedures and spent many years performing clinical research looking to delay or arrest the progression of neurodegenerative disorders. His expertise as a physician and his extensive experience in research awarded him multiple accolades, including one of the Top Doctors in Orlando, 40 under 40 and he was awarded the status of Fellow, American Academy of Neurology, acknowledging his exemplary work and achievements in the neurosciences, the clinical practice of neurology, academic and administrative neurology, in the AAN, and in the community.
